Message from President

Message from President of the Pinellas County Urban League Young Professionals:

Thank you for allowing me the honor, pleasure, and opportunity to serve as the 2019-2020 President of the Pinellas County Urban League Young Professionals. I am humbled to have the platform to collaborate with businesses and community organizations of the Tampa Bay area and nationally through the expansive network of the National Urban League Young Professionals.

My vision for this year is to expand membership by increasing networking opportunities, promoting healthy living habits, and boosting our members leadership skills as they pursue their endeavors. We operate as a voluntary auxiliary chapter to the Pinellas County Urban League and serve as the premier community organization for developing young professionals in the Tampa Bay area. By focusing on engaging individuals ages 21-40, we look to continue and expand our voluntary services in the areas of advocacy, health and wellness, personal professional development, and other areas that generate positive outcomes.

We also provide programming though our national calls of action, such as our National Day of Service. During this campaign, we partnered with Dunedin Middle School to provide a S.T.E.A.M. fair in which local business professionals and entrepreneurs educated and engaged students. Other campaigns include advocacy efforts such as National Voters Registration Week where we engaged citizens around college campuses, providing voter education.

When we are not busy impacting our community, we are taking the initiative to improve our own personal and professional skills. This is done by networking and collaborating with other young professional organizations and providing trainings on subjects such as marketing, branding, entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and communication.

I look forward to working with current and perspective members as well as corporate and community partners in shaping our cities’ destiny.

Sincerely Yours in the Movement,

Evan A. Marshall
