As their counterparts in cities nationwide commence a week long celebration of membership, young professionals from Tampa Bay’s chapter of the National Urban League Young Professionals are following suit with an array of events from January 17-23, 2016. It’s an annual observance called Join Week, which showcases the personal enrichment benefits of local participation in a vast network with shared goals. This year’s theme is: “The Movement Starts With You.“ Local chapter, Pinellas County Urban League Young Professionals (PCULYP) offers a variety of opportunities for young professionals to join the Urban League movement and to participate in professional development, philanthropy and civic engagement activities.
“Our goal is to empower young professionals to use and develop their individual talents and passion in service to the National Urban League,” said NULYP President, Carlos Clanton. “The movement is focused on four key urban initiatives: jobs, health, education and housing.”
